A portrait of William Glashan, who worked as an architect in Inverness and had a passionate interest in the old buildings of the town. He spent many years recording the old streetscapes, right up until the 1960s when large scale demolition resulted in the loss of many eighteenth- and nineteenth-century buildings including Queen Mary's House, Castle Tolmie and even the old Museum building.
