A tall squared angle-pilastered polished ashlar plinth on shaped and stepped base; corniced entablature supports two bronze figures, a kneeling seaman and a standing soldier with banner. Bronze plaques on each face of plinth commemorate fallen of 1914–1918 and 1939–1945 wars. The memorial is enclosed by cast iron bollards with gilded caps.
