Hiorns has taken discarded office clocks from The Old Royal London Hospital and subjected them to the crystallisation process which he applied to a previous project, 'Seizure', where he encrusted an entire derelict flat. With the work commissioned by Vital Arts, traces of the time the clocks stopped can be still be seen on some of the clock faces, a gentle memento mori to the hospital’s past.
