This construction by Yule challenges the traditional concept of three-dimensional sculpture. Using unusual materials, the work is created in the form of a relief collage and presented on a plinth, to be viewed at eye level. In the style of Picasso, the combination of paint and solid materials is manipulated to create a pictorial sculpture with which the audience can engage directly. Multifaceted and cubist in structure, the flat wooden planes intersect like a solid drawing, that both define and connect with space.
