Sculptor in a variety of materials, painter and teacher, full name D Ainslie Yule, born at North Berwick, East Lothian. After attending the High School there he studied at Edinburgh College of Art and became Gregory Fellow in sculpture at Leeds University, 1974–5. Went on to lecture in design at Gray’s School of Art, Aberdeen, where he lived. Showed at Richard Demarco Gallery, Edinburgh, Serpentine Gallery, LG, Leeds University and abroad. Aberdeen Art Gallery, Leeds City Art Gallery and Scottish Arts Council hold his work.
