A pencil sketch, two studies of a barefoot woman dancing, by Irish artist John Carey (1861 -1943). The woman wears a simple outfit of blouse, skirt, apron and neckerchief. One of a number of drawings and watercolours by John Carey in the collections of The Ulster Folk and Transport Museum, including a series depicting men and women engaged in folk dancing in rural Ireland of the early 1900s.
