The work was sculpted to look like a vase of flowers. The top half of the sculpture comprises of a block of stone carved to represent flowers. The middle section, shaped like a bowl, comprises of welded steel rods and steel cut outs that are colourfully painted based on children's drawings depicting fish, flowers, and faces. The bottom plaster section has a plaque attached. The sculpture itself is surrounded by a low brick step and a bed of flowers. The sculpture was made to commemorate the Tradescant family who were gardeners to Charles I.
