The Remorse of Saul is the consequence in the Bible of disobeying God. Saul was about to engage in battle with the philistines. As the tensions mounted, many of the Israelites found themselves cowering in caves, afraid. Through the prophet Samuel, God had instructed Saul to wait for seven days before engaging in battle. Saul decided to do otherwise through his impatience and he was punished by God because of it.
