A standing female figure in classical drapery and wearing a mural crown places laurel wreaths on the heads of two young boys dressed in Highland costume, one standing beside her and the other crouching at her feet. The standing boy holds a partially unfurled plan inscribed with an octagonal star and other geometric figures, and looks up to meet the gaze of the woman. The crouching boy uses a trowel to spread mortar on top of a block of dressed stone, with his free hand placed on the uppermost block of a group of similar stones piled randomly beside it. The statue group stands on an octagonal pedestal with bevelled mouldings and a rusticated distal plinth.
