Sun Wukong is also known as the 'Monkey King' of the book 'Journey to the West', protector of Xuanzang. Equally Gachie refers to a suburb of Nairobi. Here the monkey is an imposter, taking the guise of a worker, watched on by a suspicious woman. Sun Wukong’s clandestine presence in Gachie reflects upon Chinese investment in Kenya.
