A bronze statue of a man, naked except for a belt cloth, stands with his left foot forward and both arms raised high carrying a large palm. The original bronze memorial was made by Strobl, cast in Budapest and erected and unveiled in 1923. This was stolen twice: once in 1964, when it was recovered, and again in 1995 but was not found this time. A replacement by Faith Winter was erected in 1996.
