A life-size, figurative sculpture and a pair of decorative marker posts. Standing on the edge of planted woodland. For the main sculpture, Cartmel invited GCSE art students at Hasland Hall Community School to make 'a contemporary and positive image of teenagers with the idea of Botticelli’s "Three Graces" in mind.' The design shows four figures – three female and one male – standing closely together in a semi-circle with their arms around one another’s shoulders, expressing friendship and mutual support. Using thick steel plate, the artist has given the figures lively silhouettes and used cut-out shapes to suggest facial features, hair, hands, and clothing. For the marker posts, Cartmel worked with Year Six pupils at nearby Hady Primary School.
