A large bust of Sir Joseph Paxton sits atop a brick plinth. The plinth was built when the bust was relocated to its current site within the park in 1981, replacing the original pedestal by Owen Jones. It is slightly tapered at the top and stepped at the base. The bust and plinth are set on a concrete base.
