Three times larger than life-size head-and-shoulder portrait of John Barbirolli. Barbirolli was the conductor of the Halle Orchestra which reached new levels of popularity under his leadership. Also attached to the plinth is a memorial plaque for Michael Kennedy (1926–2014), a friend of Sir John and Lady Barbirolli.
