One of the few memorials to remember civilian losses especially during air raids. Unveiled by Admiral Sir Hugh Even-Thomas. The figure of Liberty, draped in classical robes, stands on top of a tall plinth, square in section on a stepped base. In her right hand she holds a torch up high above her head, and in her left hand she holds a scroll.

BULWARK and / H.M.S.
