Robert Maclaurin
b.1961
Painter, born in Yorkshire who settled in Edinburgh and who studied at the College of Art there, 1979–83. In the latter year he won an Andrew Grant Scholarship and made his first trip to Turkey; he later won a Turkish Government Scholarship, which cemented his ongoing relationship with the country.
