Ralph Leslie Swinden
1888–1967
Painter, decorative and mural artist and teacher, born in Meriden, Connecticut, America. Initially educated in Sheffield, Yorkshire, he attended the College of Art there, 1902–11; the Royal College of Art where his teachers included Gerald Moira and W R Lethaby; and the Slade School of Fine Art under Fred Brown and Ambrose McEvoy.
