Aristide Maillol
1861–1944
(b Banyuls-sur-Mer, 8 Dec. 1861; d Banyuls-sur-Mer, 24 Sept. 1944). French sculptor, painter, illustrator, and tapestry designer. His early career was spent mainly as a tapestry designer, but he also painted, exhibiting with the Nabis.
