Norman J. McCaig
1929–2000
Painter, born in Bangor, County Down, Northern Ireland, who studied at Belfast College of Art and then in Paris. He first showed there in 1948, soon after exhibiting in his home town at the O’Hara Gallery, Bangor; also at Robinson Gallery, Dublin; Kilcock Gallery, County Kildare, and Eakin Gallery, Belfast, all showed his traditional landscapes, seascapes and coastal scenes.
