A metal sculpture which explores the exchange of ideas between modern art and design; combining art indebted to design and designed objects that resemble works of art. The work intends to set up contradictions of form, material and scale. The shiny curvaceous metal skin of the sculpture appears to be in a 'familiar' ephemeral state – the 'play' of light on the surface creating a shifting and inconstant presence that emphasises illusion rather than physicality.
