Part of the National Cycle Networks Sustrans, 'Millennium Portrait Bench' series, created by Laser Process Ltd. This bench features three distinctive, life-sized local figures cut from sheet steel: Edward Langley Fardon 1839–1926, an accomplished whitesmith and engineer; John Kemp Starley 1854–1901, maker of the Rover Safety Bicycle, a chain-driven bicycle; and Helen Martin 1907–1988, Warwick University’s 'Unknown Benefactor'.
