Welsh mountain sheep, Hereford cattle and Jim Shankland, auctioneer's assistant, are depicted in this portrait bench, part of the Sustrans Portrait Bench UK Project in 2007 along the UK's Cycle routes. Laser cut steel commemorative panels reflect the locality and act as a waymarker for the route. The characters were chosen by the Monmouth Links Steering group.
