A monument to the airmen of the Wellington bomber that crashed near Darwell Hole on the western side of Netherfield in 1941. The monument, which faces the road, is an upright construction in dark grey brick with rounded edges. On the face is a large bronze plaque with an engraved Polish eagle and the names of the dead and two survivors. Above the plaque is a bronze cutout of a flying eagle. The monument is surmounted by a small metal crucifix. Next to it is a pedestal commemorating the life of the maker of the monument.
