Perseus, nude but for wings in his hair, winged sandals and a drape over his left shoulder and arm, stands on the right, holding out his right hand to take Andromeda's left wrist and save her from being devoured by the sea monster in the sea below. She stands on a tall rock on the left, looking down towards him. She wears a diaphanous dress and a billowing shawl which she holds to her with her right hand.
