The memorial takes the form of a semi-abstract figure standing with bowed head holding aloft a bell. The figure stands on a stone platform overlooking a polished red granite inscription slab. The work was cast by A. Churilov and V. Mikheichenko, at the Federal Enterprise 'Comet' Foundry, Moscow.
