Sculptor and letter-cutter, born in Hockley, Essex. After a foundation course at Suffolk School of Art, 1987, Breeze graduated with honours in graphic design from the Norwich School of Art, 1990, served an apprenticeship with the letter-cutter and carver David Holgate, 1988–92, was assistant to Richard Kindersley, 1992–3, working on numerous large carving projects, including the Prudential building in Holborn, then set up his own workshop. Breeze won a competition for a 115-foot frieze at Glasgow Judiciary Buildings, Saltmarket, 1995, completed 1997, the year of his Stations of the Cross path at Quenington Old Rectory, Gloucestershire. In 1998, he was commission by London Carvers & Sculptors to do an inscription for Princess of Wales Memorial Temple, Althorp.
