A tall bronze abstract sculpture based on bones, with the appearance from a distance of a human figure, but comprised of bone pieces. It has a mostly smooth surface with some indentations and large smooth planes finishing in rounded or knife edges. It stands on a shallow round base with a roughened surface set on a tall cylindrical base with a smooth finish. The whole is situated on a number of slate tiles. It was cast in Berlin in 1976, one of seven bronze casts made since 1961. According to the statue mark this is the sixth; Moore began noting this information on his statues from 1965. The original model consisted of bone with pieces of plasticine attached. This was enlarged to five foot and ten foot clay models by Roland Piche. The piece was first installed in the park in 1979 and then removed to be exhibited elsewhere in 2007.
