The sitter was the eldest daughter of the 3rd Earl of Bradford. She married on 22 February 1887, Colonel the Rt. Hon. William Slaney Kenyon-Slaney (d.1908) of Hatton Grange near Shifnal, Shropshire. He was M.P. for North Shropshire.
