The subject striding into battle, his right hand holding a sabre aloft and in his left a pistol, on a shallow square plinth with broken gun barrels, upon a corniced and tiered pedestal with inscriptions on its front and back and large bronze panels on its other two sides, illustrating a battle and a surrender, and all resting upon a plain square base.
