Utagawa Yoshimura was an ukiyo-e artist who was active between the late Edo period and the early Meiji era. Print shows three ladies are enjoying Sakura cherry blossom viewing along the small riverbank, Two of them are wearing short-sleeved kimonos which means they are married women, while the other has a long-sleeved kimono which indicates an unmarried woman. They are wearing ‘geta’ footwear. From 'A Landscape Garden Design with Small Hills, Streams and Pond'. Published by Satō Torakiyo (active 1870–1880), 3 Banchi Fukutomi-cho, Asakusa, Tokyo, Japan.
