Dr Grant practised in Glasgow. Often referred to as the ‘unknown President’, Grant was perhaps best known as a medical ambassador. He toured the Caribbean and Canada on behalf of the BMA and attended conferences in many countries in Europe, Africa and the Americas as a representative of British Doctors.

Dr Grant is shown three-quarter length, seated, in red robes (MD Birmingham) and dark grey suit.
