Sennen is a coastal village near the westernmost type of Cornwall, looking out towards the Atlantic. Ken Symonds was born in Swindon in 1927 and settled in Newlyn, Cornwall in 1960. He is a member of the Newlyn and St Ives societies of artists. Although this work is in oil, he usually works in pastel and has been an award-winner with the Pastel Society.
