Professional rower and boat builder Harry Clasper is shown as a stocky figure dressed in normal clothes. He stands on a pedestal under a Gothic style canopy with bracketed arches, finials and central spirclet. His right arm rests on a bollard with a rope curled round bullrushes growing up the side. His left hand holds a piece of paper with a boat design on it.
