A tubular steel construction with a cross-shaped section forming a tree design. The wire mesh signifies Saint Bridget's cross as a reference to East Kilbride. Two brothers, James and Paul Kean, one a current and one a former trustee of the Community Trust, wanted to memorialise their mother Elizabeth Kean, adding another meaning to the letters at the top of the sculpture. The weathervane was positioned facing north to symbolise the that the charity was traveling in a positive direction with a clear vision. The legs of the sculpture symbolise 'J' (for James) on the bottom and 'P' (for Paul) on the way up. The artist was inspired by the charity's work in the community and in conjunction with the growth of East Kilbride Football Club (EKFC): to 'start small and think big', or, 'from a small acorn grows a great oak'.
