A drawing of a famous a Neolithic limestone temple, which in Maltese is called Ġgantija, on the Xagħra plateau on the island of Gozo, dating from between c.3600 and c.3200 BC.

The main inscription, bottom centre, identifies the site, date and time it was depicted as 'Giants' Castle Gozo. 9.30 AM. 18 March 1866'. Lear also marked the drawing with the names of the things he could see around the site, such as 'clover', 'earth', 'green corn' and 'small stones'.
