An image of Fords Grove Cottage in leafy Winchmore Hill. This cottage is mentioned in Henrietta Cresswell's 'Winchmore Hill: Memories of a Lost Village', where the surrounding area is described as a favourite stroll for lovers and old folks on summer evenings. Some of the owners of the cottage are also mentioned, and at the time this was painted a cow owner called Mortiboy is said to have taken over the cottage from Miss Charlotte Tills, a local school teacher.
