Aged cottage on an undulating green hill, set against a silhouetted background. The hill leads into a valley at the bottom right of the picture, and a river flows through marked by a sandstone coloured bridge in the middle ground of the picture. Dramatic forms representing clouds or cliff faces are illuminated in white against a grey sky. Small green trees and shrubs surround of the cottage, growing along side a wooden fence which marks the territory belonging to the cottage. A small group of sheep rest in the far right of the picture.
