Two brick walls, on either side of what was previously the entrance to the Yorkshire Main Colliery, depict trees with roots planted in the ground and the coal measures below ground level. These images gradually disappear as they become further from the gateposts. Wicket Way gives access to an area now filled with housing, formerly occupied by the colliery. The trees represent the source of coal and the regeneration of the site.
