A sculpture of a man emerging from a round base. 'The Emerging Man' was sculpted by Maurice Blik. Blik was born in Amsterdam in 1939 and was taken to Bergen-Belsen concentration camp as a child, where many of his family died. He was liberated with his mother and sister while on one of the last trains to a Nazi killing centre.
