'Sleepers' addresses the issue of migration into Europe from Africa, indirectly alluding to the global wealth gap, which has created the situation whereby it has become desirable for people to leave their homelands to seek work abroad. It has become difficult for migrants from North Africa to travel and work in Europe, which has meant that people have risked travelling illegally, with great personal dangers.
