The sculpture depicts a rolling sheet of copper in red brick but also incorporates areas of blue brick, carved by local people and pupils from Ysgol Bro Carmel and Ysgol y Fron, Holywell, to represent the many reservoirs of the Greenfield Valley. In celebration of the millennium year, Greenfield Valley appointed six artists to create a sculpture trail within the park. The scheme was funded by the Millennium Festival Commission and supported by the Greenfield Valley Trust and various sponsors. Each of the residencies involved workshop sessions with school and/or community groups. The Hanson Brick Company of Bedford donated over 2,000 bricks and a supply of mortar for this work. The work is sited within the ruins of Meadow Mill which once produced rolled copper sheets and rollers for printing patterns on cloth.
