A prominent decagonal cast iron open shelter with ornate decoration and a distinctive red fish scale tiled roof and two-stage cupola with a clock at the second stage. There is an overhanging canopy with cornice. Fluted Corinthian columns are set between round-arched bays with decorative filigree iron-work to spandrels and frieze. There are four bays with decorative brackets. The interior has a central column and decorative iron brackets to the roof. The ogee roof above is surmounted by a metal finial. The shelter forms a major focal point for the East End of Glasgow. It is situated in the centre of a seven-way road junction. It was restored in 2010 by Clyde Gateway.
