This artwork, published at Ambleside, Westmorland, 1821, is part of Green's 'Thirty Six Etchings from Nature'. It shows the Bridge House which is constructed over Stock Beck, and is the only remaining structure from the time of Ambleside Hall, owned by the Braithwaite family from as early as 1453.

The Bridge House is shown with vegetation growing on and around the building, with a low wall and gate in front of it. There is also an external staircase leading up to the first floor. This is much the same as it is today.

In William Green's 'Tourist's New Guide' of 1819, only two years prior to this work, he noted that the Bridge House was being used as a tea room and small weaving shop.
