Britannia, mourning her lost sons, with shield and a trident which was formerly aluminium but replaced in 2002 by coated bronze. She carries a wreath in her right hand and her left supports another wreath and flag. There is a palm branch above the main inscription and a group of flags and military emblems below it. She stands on a rough-hewn stone pedestal.
