This abstract work in shades of blue, white and green follows the coiling and spiralling movements of the blue dragon, likely inspired by the movements of Tai Chi which the artist Gary Wragg practiced.

Viewers are encouraged to follow the twists and turns of the lines, note the weighty use of black paint, and experience the balance set by the two circular movements using white paint.

The shapes represented in this piece are a nod towards the Chinese Taoist idea of three pairs of opposing qualities: full and empty, open and closed, and positive and negative.
