A central doorway with four Doric columns supporting a curved broken pediment with cartouche. Six Doric columns through ground and first floors support an entablature with an open pediment over the centre bay and pediments over the end bays. A cartouche with blank coat of arms is set between the curved pediment of the main door with a wreathed female head (Minerva, goddess of wisdom) in the keystone. At either side are two further coats of arms in cartouches, one of the City of Norwich, the other the Guild of St George, echoing the coats of arms on the east facade of the Guildhall. There are further decorative wreaths, lion heads on the edge of the cornice, four panels with hanging swags and 16 urns which form a striking feature of the skyline down St Giles Street.
