The doorway is framed by brackets where a young boy and girl (a further boy is to the left) support the cornice and frame a bow window, curved frame with elegant Ionic capitals. Decorative swags and cartouches are set between the first and second storey windows with the coat of arms of the City of Norwich in one garland a leaping horse in the other. A large figure broods over his papers at the top of the building which is crowned by an obelisk.
