Within the pediment over the building entrance on the upper façade is a relief of two bare-chested young men seated either side of a round window. The figure on the left is using a pestle and mortar to prepare medicines. Above the window standing on top of the keystone is a winged phoenix rising from stylised flames, behind which a series of lines form a sunburst. The space around the figures and the phoenix is filled with flowing drapery and ornamental scrolling.
