Artist, born in Aberfeldy, Perthshire, who graduated with honours and a postgraduate diploma in painting from Edinburgh College of Art, 1982–7; she gained her master’s in fine art at Glasgow School of Art, 1995–7, being an exchange student at Hunter College, New York, America, 1996.
