Versatile sculptor, born in Manchester, who studied at Worcester Technical College and Middlesex Polytechnic, in 1987 winning a three-year bursary to work under the patronage of Elisabeth Frink at the Sir Henry Doulton School of Sculpture in Staffordshire.
